Blue Sparkler: Make Our Specialty 4th of July Cocktail

Gin

Fire up the grill and grab a glass of this colorful 4th of July Cocktail featuring our New World Gin!

Between cookouts, beach days, and fireworks, the 4th of July is all about summer fun! Our newest specialty cocktail, the Blue Sparkler, is a festive way to celebrate Independence Day with The Spirit of Florida®. This sippable summer beverage features the bright and herbal flavors of our New World Gin and Florida Mule Mix with a colorful kick.

Our 94-proof New World Gin starts with a spirit distilled from Florida sugar cane, the same base that forms our Florida Cane Vodka. Then, we add the “holy trinity” of gin botanicals: juniper berries, angelica root, and coriander. We keep our juniper berries whole during distillation, which provides a more well-rounded flavor and eliminates the harsh pine flavor that some folks find off-putting about gin.

In addition to the “holy trinity”, our gin is infused with lemon and orange peel, star anise, licorice root, orris root, nutmeg, and cassia bark (more commonly known as cinnamon). All botanicals aside from the juniper berries are milled into a rough powder to create this award-winning gin, which was named the #1 Craft Gin by USA Today in 2017.

The Blue Sparkler pairs our gin with the citrus and ginger flavors of our Florida Mule Mix, along with a splash of blue curacao for an eye-popping red, white, and blue cocktail. Learn how to make it below!
