We’ve always believed that bourbon is great any time of year, and our new Florida Buck is perfect for those hot summer days! 

This cocktail is a riff on a Buck, which is a classic type of cocktail that combines a spirit, citrus, and ginger ale or ginger beer. Citrus gets swapped with strawberries, providing a sweet summery flavor that balances the bourbon with a refreshing kick from ginger beer and herbal bitters. It’s sure to delight the bourbon lovers in your life!

Florida Buck

INGREDIENTS

• 2 oz St. Augustine Distillery Florida Straight Bourbon

• ½ oz lemon juice

• 2 whole strawberries, hulled and cut into chunks

• 3 oz ginger beer

• 1 dash bitters

• Half strawberry and lemon wheel (for garnish)

DIRECTIONS

1. In a shaker, muddle the strawberries. Add the bourbon, lemon juice, and bitters.

2. Fill shaker with ice and shake well.

3. Strain into a highball glass, and top with ginger beer.

4. Garnish with the half strawberry and lemon wheel, and serve.
